A-Z Bookish Survey | Amber

We will both be doing the A-Z Bookish Survey, because we figured it was a nice way for you lovely readers to find out a little more about us.

Author you’ve read the most books from:
Right now it's Cassandra Clare with 10 books: The Infernal Devices, The Mortal Instruments and Lady Midnight. I have the Bane Chronicles coming in soon and downloaded the Tales Of The Shadowhunter Adacemy on my phone.

Best Sequel Ever:
A COURT OF MIST AND FURY WITHOUT A DOUBT. I'M READING IT AT THE MOMENT AND IT'S SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOOO GOOD.

Currently Reading:
I'm actually reading two books atm. I was reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, I'm on page 460 or something, but then I got A Court Of Mist And Fury in the mail this weekend and I HAD to read it immediately. I'm 330 page's in and it's probably in my top 3 favorite books of all time.

Drink of Choice While Reading:
No matter how much I love drinking coffee, I'm going for tea. Usually I make a pot of tea and just take it with me when I'm reading so that I can drink a lot of cups after each other, because I love my tea.

E-reader or Physical Book?
Phycial books just in general. When I'm traveling I prefer to read from my phone, though. I wrote a blogpost about this as well.
Read it here.

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
I like to think I would've dated Jem Carstairs, because he loves music and plays the violin. I play the violin and the piano so there's that. I also think he's the sweetest and purest character I've ever read about and I just love him so much.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell! I never expected to love this book as much as I did. I'm not a big contemporary fan and I chose not to read this book for a long time because of that. I saw a lot of people on booktube and tumblr who also love fantasy as much as I do love this book so I thought I'd give it a shot. It was amazing.

Hidden Gem Book:
I'm actually going to pick a book that I have not read yet for this, and that is ''The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas''. This book was in my 'because you read this, try this' list on Goodreads and the concept sounded so amazing, I know I will love this book. I ordered it a week ago and I can't wait to read it.

Important Moment in your Reading Life:
For me it was when I nailed my first reading goal. Last year I set my goal on 25 books and ended up reading 36. It was quite amazing.

Just Finished:
Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare. Oh my god was that an amazing book. It hurts me that I have to wait a whole year for the second book Lord Of Shadows uggghhh I need it now.

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
Any cheesy romance novel that is just like 'we are so in love look how happy we are everything is great'. I hate that ugh.

Longest Book You’ve Read:
A Clash Of Kings by George R R Martin. It's 1006 pages of extreme epicness. I don't get why not more people read these books. They're freaking amazing.

Major book hangover because of:
Queen Of Shadows by Sarah J Maas. Oh my god it took me 2 whole months of barely reading to get out of that hangover. Sarah's books always do that to me. I'm scared for the release of ACOMAF next week because I KNOW I'll have a major hangover.

Number of Bookcases You Own:
At the moment I own one, but I only have one shelf left that doesn't have books on them, so I was recently looking for a second shelf. I have the Billy bookcase from Ikea. The only problem is where I'm gonna place it...

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
Queen Of Shadows by Sarah J Maas. I have reread all Sarah's books, but Queen Of Shadows is my favorite.

Preferred Place To Read:
I always read downstairs on the couch, because dispite the fact that I'm reading, I do like to be around my family. The only problem with this is that my dad really enjoys talking and won't stop talking to me when I'm reading downstairs. Most of the times I end up going upstairs, but that's so boring and quiet.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
“Will rose slowly to his feet. He could not believe he was doing what he was doing, but it was clear that he was, clear as the silver rim around the black of Jem’s eyes. “If there is a life after this one,” he said, “let me meet you in it, James Carstairs.”
“There will be other lives.” Jem held his hand out, and for a moment, they clasped hands, as they had done during their parabatai ritual, reaching across twin rings of fire to interlace their fingers with each other. “The world is a wheel,” he said. “When we rise or fall, we do it together.”
Will tightened his grip on Jem’s hand, which felt thin as twigs in his. “Well, then,” he said, through a tight throat, “since you say there will be another life for me, let us both pray I do not make as colossal a mess of it as I have this one.”
- Clockwork Princess, Cassandra Clare

Reading Regret:
Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. I had really high expactations, but it ended up not being that great (or at least that's my opinion).

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):
The Song Of Ice And Fire series by George R R Martin. I love these books so much and I started reading A Storm Of Swords but I always read them in parts, so they seem less long. I'm about 250 pages in and I'm actually planning on continuing soon.

Three of your All-Time Favourite Books:
Queen Of Shadows by Sarah J Maas
A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J Maas
Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Rowan Whitethorn and Rowaelin, Rhysand, Jem Carstairs and Malec

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:
A Court Of Mist And Fury (my copy has been two days ago brb crying)
Empire Of Storms

Worst Bookish Habit:
Reading a bit and picking up my phone literally every 5 minutes. Once I pick up my phone, I end up spending 20 minutes on Tumblr. After a while I realise I was reading, read a bit more and get distracted by my phone again. Most of the times I end up just turning it off or leaving it upstairs so I can read in peace.

X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Two Towers by J R R Tolkien

Your latest book purchase:
Are you ready because I purchased all these books at once:
The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas
The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare
Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J Maas

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late):
The book I'm currently reading:ACOMAF by Sarah J Maas omg I do NOT want to finish this book. I got it in on Saturday evening, it's Monday morning now and I'm already on page 336. I don't think I've ever read a book this fast before. I'm actually thinking about rereading it immediately after I finish it because it's so so so so so soooooo good.
